After Tropical Storm Irene a flood repair assessment is the first step on the path to a dry, warm, and more energy-efficient home. Before you start, you need to properly address flood damaged areas of house– or it will affect your living space, your health, and energy bills.
Flood repair assessments cannot take place until all affected drywall and insulation has been removed at least six inches above the water line and any potential mold issues have been addressed.
We recommend that you register with FEMA before we do the air sealing assessment. Moving forward with this work before registering with FEMA could impact your eligibility to receive FEMA funds.
If you have not yet registered with FEMA you can contact them online at DisasterAssistance.gov, or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
